Our Chef

Chef Chad was raised in Columbus’ best kitchens including The Refectory, Carolyn’s, and Spagio’s Aubergine prior to running kitchens for Certified Master Chefs Hartmut Handke and Roland Henin. He received his culinary training at Columbus State Community College in the Chef’s Apprenticeship program, and was a national level award winning competitor during that time.
The opening of The Short Story Brasserie brought Chad to the Granville area where he quickly established relationships with local diners and soon took the role as Executive Chef of the historic Granville Inn. He became a multi-faceted team member charged with reinventing the culinary program of this historic national landmark hotel.
His experience includes over twenty years of experience in independent restaurants, private dining, hotel & conference center, banquets, and catering.
